Salou has excellent transport connections with the rest of Spain and the whole of Europe.
Charter flights from all parts of Europe land at the nearby airport of Reus, and Barcelona Airport is little more than an hour away by car, bus or train.
Both the N-340 National Highway and the A-7 motorway lead directly to Salou, making it easy to get here by road. TRAINS TO/FROM BARCELONA
The current timetables for trains between Barcelona and Salou/Tarragona are available on the train stations. These are subject to update so
check on arrival at the station. Some notes: CE = Catalunya express : fastest as they only stop at principal stations.
RE = Regional express - stops at most stations. R = Regional - stops at all stations.
IMPORTANT: Ticket prices vary - not all tickets are valid for all trains. CE = more expensive.
For Barcelona Airport use the SANTS stop and change to the AEROPORT shuttle train.
THE "TRENET" OR ROAD TRAIN of Salou. (daytime service)
Sometimes unkindly called the "Wally Wagon" , this is great way to discover Salou , and actually to get around, albeit at a slow pace.
If you enjoy a walk, you can take the Trenet, get off and walk back - or pick it up at the frequent stops.
In Winter just one line runs at a low price - route LH. From Easter to October three lines run: All take in Port Aventura and Plaza Europa:
L1: Port Aventura, Plaza Europa to, and along the main beach to the Port then back.
L2: Coastal route by Playa Llarga beach, Hotel Negresco near Cap Salou then returning to the centre.
L2: Inland route to Cap Salou almost to La Pineda then back to the centre.
